Asbestos Testing
Asbestos is a naturally occurring fibrous silicate crystal. Asbestos becomes a serious health risk when fibers are released in the atmosphere through disturbance, and the inhalation of these fibers can lead to serious lung conditions including lung cancer and mesothelioma. The silicate crystal was commonly used in building material, but once the risks were discovered the use of the material was drastically reduced by the 1980s.

It is recommended that any property built before 1980 is subject to asbestos testing services

Microbial Detection/Testing

Mold is a fungus that is commonly found in damp, dark, environments. Mold is the result of improper moisture control and is usually caused by a leak from the exterior of the home or an indoor plumbing source. Mold releases spores into the air that can cause illness in those exposed.

Symptoms include stuffy nose, wheezing, red/itchy eyes and skin. Other signs of mold in the home can be indicated by a musty/damp odor, visible growth, humidity, condensation, signs of water damage (ex. water marks or swelling of porous material, rust), a past flooding or water leak/intrusion that was not properly inspected or mitigated.

$350 inspection fee (includes two air samples)
$50 per additional sample, $75 per RUSH sample

Lead Paint Identification and Testing
Lead paint or lead-based paint is paint containing lead. Before 1978 lead was added to paint to accelerate drying, increase durability, maintain a fresh appearance, and resist moisture that causes corrosion. Lead can be swallowed, absorbed through your skin or most toxic when inhaled. Lead is a neurotoxin that can cause multiple health problems, inn severe cases, infertility, anemia, kidney damage and brain damage.

If your home was built before 1978 it is recommended to test for lead-based paint before performing a demolition. If paint is seen peeling, chipping or "alligatoring" are signs of possible lead-based paints.

Radon Consultation
Radon is a radioactive gas that has been found in homes all over the United States. It originates from the natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water, which is released into the air and becomes breathable.

The EPA estimates 1 out of 15 homes have Dangerous Levels of Radon.

Radon is the second highest cause of Lung Cancer behind cigarette smoking, and is the leading cause in non-smokers.

There is no way to detect Radon without testing due to being a colorless, odorless gas that does not present any immediate symptoms.
$450 inspection fee (includes testing and report)
